When The Bank Says No 

First-time buyer saves their deposit and goes to see the mortgage advisor in the bank they've had their current account with for the past few years. They are surprised when the bank declined the mortgage because of something on the credit file.&nbsp; They ask the bank's mortgage advisor to confirm what this is and they respond "the computer only tells me that you have been declined for adverse but we cannot tell you anymore.&nbsp; The first-time buyer incredibly embarrassed leaves the bank and tries to understand what they can do now to still buy the home that they have already viewed and made an offer for.&nbsp; They then go off to speak with a free online mortgage broker online and they are unable to help because their no-fee proposition won't support working on adverse clients. The first-time buyer frantically tries to find someone to support them in obtaining a mortgage and they are now 4 months in, having paid lots of legal and survey fees. They then are declined for the second time.
