Glamour article on women and alcohol

The WHO (World Health Organisation, not the band) have suggested that women of child-bearing age should avoid drinking alcohol entirely as it may harm their chances of giving birth - what are your thoughts on this?

  • Is there any truth that drinking can stop women falling pregnant? 
  • Are the risks being confused with those who are already pregnant?
  • What about the effects of alcohol on sperm? Men seem to have been left out of the advice!

Stress has been proven to be one of the biggest factors for lack of fertility. Many people have a drink to relax so the proposal that all women (why not men too) should stop drinking could well backfire on its intentions.
